We recommend a flat and even bed base that provides plenty of ventilation for your mattress. Slat bases should be secured no more than 10cm apart and supported with a centre support rail. Flexible slats should be convex in shape but can lose their resiliency over time and become concave, which can cause irreparable damage to the mattress. Please check your slats regularly as mattress damage caused by inadequate slat support is not covered by our guarantee.
